What is low sided?

Low siding refers to a type of motorcycle accident in which the bike slides out from underneath the rider while in a turn. This can happen when the tires lose traction due to various factors, such as sand or gravel on the road, wet or oily pavement, or excessive speed. The rider usually falls off the bike and slides along the road before coming to a stop. Low siding can result in injuries, including road rash, broken bones, and head trauma, depending on the speed of the bike and the surface of the road. To prevent low siding, riders should exercise caution when riding on unfamiliar roads and be aware of potential hazards that may affect tire traction. They should also wear appropriate safety gear, such as a helmet, jacket, gloves, and boots, to minimize the risk of injury in the event of an accident.
